My training includes dual board certification in general and vascular surgery and an additional one year training in open heart surgery. After completion of a general surgery residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, I received the nationally renowned Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for teaching and humanism. I have also received the distinguished classification of fellow of American college of surgeons (FACS). Clinically my practice focuses on advanced minimally invasive techniques to treat patients with aortic and carotid disease. I also specializes in treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and non-healing wounds due to lack of blood flow known as critical limb ischemia. I have developed the Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention Symposium (LEAPS) conference is held annually at Staten Island University Hospital. I work closely with the podiatry and plastic surgeons to offer the most advance treatment to patients suffering from non-heling wounds.
