Trump envoy Steve Witkoff blames Hamas as Gaza ceasefire talks stall yet again, bringing no hope for starving Palestinian children.

Only a few weeks ago, President Donald Trump seemed confident a deal was days away that would end the fighting in Gaza, secure the release of hostages and allow aid to flow into an enclave where people are starving to death.

Ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel are expected to resume next week as the war in Gaza nears it’s 22nd month and experts warn Palestinians are on the brink of famine.

White House envoy Steve Witkoff said Thursday that Hamas' latest response in Gaza talks "shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire," and warned the U.S. is now considering "alternative options" for bringing the hostages home.

President Donald Trump indicated on Friday that a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas would be unlikely, and suggested that Hamas was losing its ability to negotiate.
