The avalanche was triggered in Tuckerman Ravine at Mount Washington on Tuesday, March 11, according to a statement from the Mount Washington Observatory.
A backcountry skier was caught in an avalanche on Mount Washington earlier in March. A small avalanche in Dodge’s Drop caught the skier, though luckily, they were uninjured in the fall.
