News of Cole Palmer’s freak toe fracture was communicated to Enzo Maresca in the form of an 11pm text from the club doctor, the Chelsea head coach has revealed. Palmer has played only four matches this season and has not featured since being substituted after 21 minutes in the defeat at Manchester United on 20 September. However, Chelsea have won eight of their 11 matches without him, drawing one and losing two.
He also had an application to trademark his name and a separate figurative one for his facial image approved. Last month, Palmer also successfully trademarked his ‘Cold’ nickname. That was approved after it dropped any mention of wine following a challenge from a prestigious French winery called ‘Chateau Palmer.’
