Kansas fell to 29th in the KenPom standings, while North Carolina sits at No. 23. NC State's impressive offensive efficiency rating, 117.8, was good for 22nd in the nation. That rating came in as the fourth-best in the ACC, behind Duke, Louisville and North Carolina.
Vanderbilt women's basketball remained at No. 19 in the AP Poll after defeating Cal in its season opener in the Oui-Play Paris event. The Commodores (1-0) won that game, 74-65, as Mikayla Blakes scored 27 points. Their home opener against Furman is at Memorial Gymnasium on Nov. 10 (6 p.m. CT, SEC Network).
Along with Iowa, the Big Ten has nine other programs listed in and outside of the Top 25, which includes No. 3 UCLA (2-0), No. 8 USC (2-0), No. 9 Maryland (3-0), No. 13 Michigan (2-0), No. 24 Michigan State (2-0), No. 25 Washington (1-0), along with Ohio State (27 points), Minnesota (10 points), and Nebraska (2 points) receiving votes.
