BEDFORD TWP. — A crowd of about 70 people gathered at the Bedford Township Government Center for Saturday's No Kings protest. Dana Brown, co-leader of Dundee Indivisible, said they're taking a stand to protect democracy.

Demonstrators crowded into parks and plazas across the U.S. Saturday to rally against President Donald Trump as officials urged calm and mobilized National Guard troops ahead a military parade to mark the Army’s 250th anniversary that coincides with the president's birthday.

The No Kings protests coincide with others across the country, and with President Trump's birthday and a U.S. Army parade in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. Trevor Sochocki reports.

At least 1,500 "No Kings" protests nationwide are planned Saturday on the same day President Donald Trump scheduled a large-scale military parade in Washington, D.C. on Flag Day and his 79th birthday.

A flagship "No Kings" march and rally are planned in Philadelphia, but no events are scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., where the military parade will take place on Trump's 79th birthday. Organizers of the protests say they want to take attention away from the parade.

As many as 2,000 protests are planned across the country. Organizers say they’re meant as a counteraction to Trump’s lavish parade, which also happens to fall on his birthday.
