EA has lowered its financial forecast for the rest of this fiscal year, ending March 2025. The publisher points primarily to the underperformance of FC 25 — formerly known as FIFA — alongside sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard failing to meet expectations.

Game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) dipped 9% in Wednesday's after market trading after it cut full-year forecast for net bookings, hurt by the underperformance of EA SPORTS FC 25 and Dragon Age games.

During the company’s latest financial call with shareholders, chief executive officer Andrew Wilson and the rest of EA’s top brass tempered the forecast from its previous “mid-single-digit growth” to a “mid-single-digit decline,” pinning the blame on Veilguard and EA Sports FC 25.

Electronic Arts has revised its projected revenues for the 2025 fiscal year sharply downward in a preliminary financial results release, from $7.4–7.7 billion to $7–7.15 billion, as both EA Sports FC and Dragon Age: The Veilguard failed to meet expectations.
