An Arctic blast storm has triggered a State of Emergency in Florida. As the winter storm approached, Gov. Ron DeSantis placed the emergency order into effect this week. The National Weather Service has confirmed this was a record-setting storm. The NWS said Milton, Florida, received 9.8 inches of snow.

Pensacola awoke to subfreezing temperatures for the second day in a row as a “significant winter storm” began to roll into the area.

Snow and ice is headed to North Florida, and Gov. Ron DeSantis recognizes the threat posed by the anomalous Winter weather headed across the “Gulf of America.”
