Normalizing ties with Lebanon has emerged as Israel's new emphasis after it greatly weakened Iran-backed Hezbollah during a devastating war.

Israel conducted two sets of airstrikes in south Lebanon on March 11 that targeted Hezbollah operatives. The first targeted a senior Hezbollah aerial defense operative, whose fate remains unknown. The second set of strikes targeted Hezbollah members in south Lebanon.

The Israeli army has hit infrastructure facilities in Lebanon, which were used by Hezbollah militants to produce strategic weapons. Also the Israelis liquidated terrorists who were preparing an attack in the Gaza Strip. This is reported by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).

Even in Lebanese villages that incurred heavy losses during Hezbollah's war with Israel, support for the militant group remains strong despite some dissent.

The Israeli military said on Tuesday that it killed a member of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon who was responsible for an aerial unit. In a statement published on X and Telegram, the army said that the man "was a significant source of knowledge" in Hezbollah's aerial array,
