COOPERSTOWN — Ichiro Suzuki was known for visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame often throughout his major league career. On Sunday, he’ll be enshrined there. Speaking on Saturday through an interpreter, Ichiro said making the Hall “has never been a goal.”

Suzuki was a two-time AL batting champion and 10-time All-Star and Gold Glove outfielder, hitting .311 with 117 homers, 780 RBIs and 509 stolen bases with Seattle, the New York Yankees and Miami.

Undersized and with a weird swing, Ichiro Suzuki stood out because of two Hall of Fame careers across 28 years in pro baseball.
