MacKinnon, Makar Selected to Team Canada's 2026 Olympic Roster
Hockey Canada announced today the first six players of its roster for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which will be held from Feb. 6-22, 2026 in Milan and Cortina, Italy. Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon and defenseman Cale Makar were selected to the initial roster.

Specifically, Cole Harbour was front and centre in the Monday afternoon announcement, with Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon headlining the list of core players. Joining them were defenceman Cale Makar and forwards Sam Reinhart, Brayden Point and Connor McDavid. The rest of the roster will be filled out closer to the start of the Games.
