Thousands of people joined massive No Kings Day marches in communities across Wisconsin to protest President Donald Trump.

Protesters criticized the administration's actions, including its crackdown on immigration, and condemned the fatal shooting of a Democratic Minnesota lawmaker earlier Saturday.

While the official Madison ‘No Kings’ protest was held at the Wisconsin State Capitol, dozens of older adults lined the sidewalks on the city’s west side for a similar event, calling it a “protection rally.

Protests took place in more than 1,500 cities on the same day that the president's birthday military parade, costing tens of millions of dollars, took place.

On the same day Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered in a "politically-motivated" assassination, more "politically-motivated" violence occurred at peaceful protests across the country.

In New York City, the biggest "No Kings" demonstration began at Bryant Park on Saturday before moving down Fifth Avenue to Madison Square Park.

Thousands of protesters gathered at Library Mall and proceeded to march to the Capitol, chanting and holding signs in opposition to the Trump Administration and their treatment of immigrants.

The protest on Saturday was on the same day as a military parade in Washington, D.C marking the Army's 250th anniversary.
