Transfer portal season has started. The portal doesn't open up until Dec. 9, but with the end of the regular season Saturday, players have begun making their decisions to enter the portal.

The Oklahoma Sooners just got some great transfer portal news, as they steered away an Oklahoma State player to join the bright side over in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Sooners brought in the Florida State starter for a campus visit this week, and apparently Jones' visit went extremely well.

Former Oklahoma State star linebacker/safety Kendal Daniels committed on Monday, he told On3. A former Freshman All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Daniels totaled 240 tackles, 7.5 Sacks, 13 pass deflections, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in three seasons with the Cowboys.

The Oklahoma Sooners have experienced significant turnover at the wide receiver position this offseason. They've added four wideouts: Javonnie Gibson, Keontez Lewis, Isaiah Sategna, and Josiah Martin in the transfer portal.

The Oklahoma Sooners made a splash via the transfer portal when they added former Washington State quarterback and the top player in this year’s portal class, John Mateer. But the Sooners weren’t done at quarterback, adding Western Carolina signal caller Cole Gonzales.

Oklahoma State has picked up some more help on the offensive side of the ball. On Monday, wide receiver transfer Jaylen Lloyd announced his commitment to OSU via social media. Lloyd reportedly went on a visit to OSU on Friday,

The Oklahoma Sooners added their second special teamer from Kennesaw State, signing former Owls kicker Austin Welch. Welch reunites with former teammates tight end Carson Kent and punter Jacob

Carter was a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 11 linebacker in the cycle. Out of Tampa Catholic, Carter’s speed and athleticism made him one of the more highly regarded backers in 2023. He had 33 Power Four offers coming out of high school.

One of Oklahoma State’s top defenders in the portal is staying in the state. On Monday, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported that transfer safety Kendal Daniels has committed to Oklahoma. Daniels spent the first four seasons of his career at OSU and was a staple of the Cowboys' defense throughout the past three years.
