Treacherous travel is likely across parts of southern Ontario through the weekend, as powerful snow squalls affect heavily travelled highways. Snow squall watches and warnings are in effect, as well as winter weather travel advisories for the deteriorating and dangerous conditions.

The weather agency has issued snow squall warnings for regions spanning from Listowel to the west, Bracebridge to the north and Belleville to the east

On Friday at 5:18 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated snow squall warning in effect until 6 p.m. for Centre, Clearfield and Clinton counties.
