WWE star Rusev and his wife CJ Perry open up about their journey of almost divorcing to getting back together.
"Again, I was pushed against the wall with nowhere else to go," Rusev said. "I remember that very vividly... After having that meeting about, 'You have this much time left here,' I once again went back and started revisiting my character. What could I do better? If you ask something of me, I'll deliver."
WWE RAW Superstar Rusev and his former manager Lana (CJ Perry) are one of the top heel couples to ever step foot inside the squared circle.
Earlier this year, a video emerged on social media that featured Rusev accidentally knocking down a fan’s phone during his entrance on Raw. The video went viral, with some fans telling Rusev that he should pay for the fan’s phone if it was broken.

WWE Star Rusev Reacts To Rumors That He Refused To Lose During AEW Run
WWE star Rusev addresses rumors that he refused to lose matches during his near five-year run in All Elite Wrestling.
On X/Twitter, the former United States Champion broke character to send a heartfelt message to fellow WWE RAW star Natalya. The former Women's Champion reposted a couple of images with Rusev and his wife, CJ Perry, thanking them for coming to her book signing in Los Angeles.
Rusev believes he received ‘mixed messages’ from Vince McMahon and shared what he learned during his time in WWE. Speaking on the debut episode of his wife CJ Perry’s Identity Crisis podcast, former three-time WWE United States Champion Rusev addressed Perry’s question about whether Vince McMahon believed he worked better as a monster heel.
Before their reconciliation, WWE star Rusev saw other women besides his wife, Lana/CJ Perry. While appearing on Lana's Identity Crisis podcast (via WrestleTalk), Rusev told his wife that he saw other women while they were separated, but it didn't go anywhere.
In four years with All Elite Wrestling, Rusev went from a dominant champion and a prominent part of the show to being an afterthought who rarely appeared on TV. Reports surfaced that Rusev was refusing to do jobs, but he is now denying that was the case.
