BANGKOK (Reuters) -Thailand's trade talks with the United States are expected to be concluded before August 1, and U.S. tariffs on the country are not expected to be as high as 36%, its finance minister said on Tuesday.

Thailand expects the Trump administration to offer it a “very good” trade deal after agreeing to end an armed border conflict with Cambodia under a US-backed peace initiative, its Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai said.

Thailand’s military accused Cambodian forces on Wednesday of breaching a ceasefire agreement at three separate locations along the disputed border, warning that continued aggression could compel Thai forces to respond more decisively.
