Apple this week announced tvOS 26, which is now available in developer beta. The upcoming software update includes a handful of new features for

Apple Music Sing, the karaoke app within tvOS, only supports iPhones as a microphone (from iPhone 11 / Apple TV 4K of the third generation); playback takes place via the screen. Animations on iPhone and Apple TV are also new. tvOS 26 will be released in the fall. A public beta is expected from July, developers can already test it.

Apple’s new tvOS 26 is here, and the one feature I can’t wait to try has nothing to do with TV. At WWDC 2025, Apple introduced “Sing-along” sessions, which sounds like a traumatic summer camp experience but is actually a cool new karaoke feature that I can’t wait to test out for myself.
