On Thursday, Aug. 7 Chastain will appear on the lawn of the Schuyler County Courthouse at 105 9th St. in Watkins Glen from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. to sign autographs and promote the importance of seat belt use through the “Protect Your Melon” campaign.

The NASCAR Cup Series will move to Upstate New York this weekend. After William Byron’s win in Iowa, Watkins Glen International will mark a return to road course racing for the sport on Sunday.

The one and only time NASCAR visits New York State is for the Go Bowling at the Glen Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International in the scenic Finger Lakes. This year, the race moves up on the calendar, taking place Sunday, August 10 (8/10/2025), capping off a weekend of motorsports action at the track.
