A selection of Palestinian footballers has taken on a group of Spanish players from the Basque Country in a friendly match with political overtones relating to Israel's military actions in Gaza.

BILBAO, November 16, 2025 (WAFA) – In a historic moment for Palestinian football, the national team played a friendly match against the Basque team at the iconic San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain, in front of 50,000 spectators.
