Some city leaders and real estate professionals say they will work together to find a way to keep Neiman Marcus open in downtown Dallas, days after the store said it was being forced out.

A coalition has formed to bring owner Saks Global and its lessors back to the negotiating table, declaring, “Texans are problem solvers.”

Nearly 120 years after its opening, the luxury department store’s historic Dallas headquarters is shuttering, Saks Global, the new owner of Neiman Marcus, revealed in a statement. The headquarters will be closing its doors for good on March 31.
