Kristi Noem's Senate confirmation hearing for her nomination as the head of the Department of Homeland Security was delayed on Wednesday after "a delay on the FBI background check"

The hearing was scheduled for Wednesday. It’s now postponed to 9 a.m. Eastern time on Friday (10 a.m. central time). South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is having her hearing to become the next Homeland Security Secretary pushed back from Wednesday to Friday. According to a committee aide, the FBI has yet to complete its portion of her paperwork.
