On Sunday Butler completed his sixth game with the Warriors and scored 18 points to help lead the Dubs to a 24-point win over the Dallas Mavericks. Afterwards, Green explained why he felt the urge to tell the world the Warriors were guaranteed champions— and it all comes back to the team's newest member.

“Before Butler arrived, Green had a standing request of the team’s front office that he deemed vital to their renaissance: Go get another “a–hole,” as one team source described it,” the two wrote. “Another fiery, two-way talent like him who would say what needed to be said at all times and compete on the knife’s edge on both ends of the floor.”

Draymond Green has never been a player short of confidence, but it’s fair to say he caught everyone off guard when he claimed during All-Star Weekend that the Golden State Warriors would win the NBA championship this season.
