Los Angeles had a foggy Veterans Day, with a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 9 AM. The city expected partly sunny skies post-fog, with a high near 80. Showers were likely later in the week with temperatures dipping to the mid-60s.
Eastern San Gabriel Mountains, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley are under a weather alert for strong thunderstorms by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 10:39 a.m.
The storm could trigger dangerous flash floods and mudslides, but it may also extinguish California’s wildfire season.
