Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has approved the posting and redeployment of several senior officers of the Nigerian Air Force

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has redeployed several senior officers in a major operational shake-up approved by Sunday Kelvin Aneke, air marshal and chief of air staff.

The Chief of the South African Air Force (SAAF), Lieutenant General Wiseman Mbambo, this week paid an official visit to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Abuja, strengthening defence cooperation and advancing regional security.

The Nigerian Air Force has announced a sweeping redeployment of its senior officers, a move aimed at boosting efficiency and aligning operations with the vision of the new Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.

"With this new wave of appointments, the Nigerian Air Force is poised to ... usher in an era of smarter, more adaptive air operations."

Nigeria said on Sunday (November 2) it would welcome U.S. help in fighting Islamist insurgents as long as its territorial integrity is respected, responding to threats of military action by President Donald Trump over what he said was the ill treatment of Christians in the West African country.
