Harris English held off hard-charging Sam Stevens to win the Farmers Insurance Open by one shot Saturday, securing his fifth career PGA Tour victory with a 1-over 73 in challenging weather at Torrey Pines.

English shot 1-over 73 in the final round, good for 8-under 280 for the week, but it was enough to hold off Sam Stevens, who signed for a 4-under 68 and finished second at 7 under. English hit only nine greens in the final round,
