Steve Bannon said President Donald Trump will run for a third term in 2028 and may support a tax increase on wealthy Americans to help secure an election win. The former White House chief strategist made the remarks during a Friday interview with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo.

In March, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Trump's goal was to eliminate taxes for people earning less than $150,000 per year, which is 93 percent of Americans, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. To pay for this, he said the U.S. would implement tariffs on foreign nations and curb overseas tax evasion.
