Texas invests $13M in pilot program to spay and neuter cats and dogs
Grant applications are now open for shelters and nonprofits to get funding to help with spay and neuter services across the state.

Starting Feb. 4, Texas families can apply for Education Freedom Accounts, allowing them to use state funds for private school tuition or homeschooling costs.
Texas lawmakers finally increased funding for disabled students after years of underfunding. Now, the state must figure out what equipment, training and other services that $250 million will go toward.
Last week, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department announced that it had approved a record-setting amount of funding for parks across the state. In total, more than $21 million will be allocated to 50 community parks, helping to pay for playgrounds, sports fields, splash pads, and nature trail construction and maintenance, among other improvements.
