Turkey said it arrested 357 people on Tuesday linked to the Islamic State group, following intelligence reports that the terrorist organisation was "planning attacks" during Christmas and New Year.
It started in December 2025 on TikTok, a trend that caught everyone by surprise. Turkish Gen-Z began posting videos where they appear to allegedly mock Namaz (Islamic prayer), one of the five pillars of Islam.
On Christmas Day, Turkish authorities carried out raids at 124 locations across the national capital of Istanbul, apprehending 115 IS suspects, news agencies reported citing the chief prosecutor's office.
