NOAA Winter Forecast Reveals Temperature And Snow Expectations: What To Expect
Winter is approaching, and millions of Americans are wondering what Mother Nature has in store for the coming months. Will it be another mild season, or should we brace for harsh conditions that could disrupt travel and daily life?
Some parts of the country are expected to face a colder and snowier season this year, but exact conditions will depend on which region you live in.
Low pressure is forecast to develop off the coast late Sunday into Monday. Most computer models keep us pretty dry. We’ll keep a slight chance in right now and continue to update as we get closer. The low pulls away and high pressure returns briefly Monday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released its nationwide winter weather predictions for 2025 and can serve as a guide to prepare you for winter. Much of the nation may experience warmer temperatures than usual for the months of November, December and January.
Temperatures will also be brisk in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, reaching only the 30s and 40s later in the day, The Weather Channel reported. But temperatures will be a tad warmer in the Central Plains and the Southeast, with 40s and 50s in the forecast for Friday evening.
We'll start the day with sun then clouds increase during the afternoon and evening. A few scattered showers then move in for the weekend along with mild temps Saturday.
