The home run marked the second World Series win in Toronto Blue Jays history. The Blue Jays achieved the feat in consecutive years, 1992 and 1993. The franchise then had a 32-year drought from reaching the Fall Classic before Toronto made it there again in 2025. This just adds more lore to Carter's iconic game and series winner.

When Freddie Freeman walked off Game 1 of the 2024 World Series with an iconic 10th-inning grand slam that forever etched him into Dodgers history, he said it was what you dream about as a kid. But Freeman never dreamed of doing it twice.
Ohtani's 12 total bases tied him with Reggie Jackson and Babe Ruth for the third most in a single World Series contest. Albert Pujols delivered 14 total bases in Game 3 of the 2011 Fall Classic, while Pablo Sandoval delivered 13 as part of Game 1 in 2012.
There have only been 19 walk-off home runs in the 121-year history of the World Series.
