Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was back in action on Tuesday night as he made his first appearance since undergoing surgery in the summer in the Copa del Rey win over Guadalajara. Ter Stegen’s name on the teamsheet caused plenty of surprise as it had been reported earlier in the day that Wojciech Szczęsny would get the nod.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick offered a measured assessment after his side edged past CD Guadalajara in the Copa del Rey round of 32.

And, according to Marta Ramon of RAC1, Flick has chosen Szczesny to be his starter for the cup tie tonight against Guadalajara.
