Zachary Moskowitz, 18, is from Dallas, but he chose to spend the summer in Israel volunteering with an organization that supports the Israel Defense Forces.

While Israeli officials claim that 90% of Iranian missiles have been intercepted since June 13, reports indicate that Israel’s defenses are being overwhelmed, with the long-touted Iron Dome reportedly close to depletion.

The Iron Dome is designed to protect Israeli citizens by launching guided missiles to intercept incoming rockets and other short-range threats in mid-air.
