First, let’s point out that Thibodeaux isn’t wrong. The Giants did make life tough on Fields, especially in the second practice on Wednesday, when they had at least four would-be sacks in team drills and kept the Jets’ offense from making any notable big plays.

The Jets, overnight, had a pass rush, and it became the most fabled pass rush of its time, the Sack Exchange. They started winning, five in a row and seven out of eight at one point, the capper a 16-15 win at Shea Stadium on Nov. 22 in which Richard Todd was the hero, and suddenly Shea was littered with “Todd is God” banners.
Hall isn’t wrong about any of that. Hall’s production, obviously, has lagged behind both Williams and Cook. And both have been in far better offensive situations. The Jets were an offensive disaster the last two years as they tailored their attack to fit Aaron Rodgers and little else.
The Winnipeg Jets were the best team in the NHL this past season, at least during the regular season. Winnipeg has a strong core group in place, but this team hasn't been able to get over the hump in the postseason.
