Jonas Brodin, who turns 32 in July, missed more than 30 of the Wild’s regular season games in 2024-25 with various injuries, but was healthy for the playoffs.
His top priority this offseason was locking up Jonas Brodin, something he accomplished Tuesday when the Wild signed the 27-year-old defenseman to a seven-year, $42 million contract extension.
Brodin, who called Tuesday a “dream come true for me,” will play one more year at his current $3.5 million salary and $4.166 million cap hit before getting the big cap bump starting in 2021-22.
