Erling Haaland may have signed a contract to stay with Manchester City for another nine years, but Real Madrid could still pursue him.

City announced the deal — covering 10 years from the start of this season — on Friday for the 24-year-old Haaland, who has scored 111 goals in 125 games since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.

The Norwegian striker, whose previous contract was set to run until 2027, has been scoring at a phenomenal rate since joining City two-and-a-half years ago, amassing 111 goals across 126 appearances.
