When a tsunami warning was issued for Hawaii on July 29, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America needed to get out of port early to avoid a potential disaster.

Norwegian Cruise Line said that all passengers had returned to the ship by 1 p.m. Wednesday, and the Pride of America was on schedule to call Thursday in Nawiliwili.

In Hawaii, ships were directed out to sea by officials, but some guests who were on shore excursions couldn’t make it back in time to get aboard.
