In anticipation of the potential of heavy rain, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for areas along Interstate 35 and into the Hill Country from late Wednesday night through Friday morning.
Unrelenting rain is expected to persist in the Bay Area as two back-to-back storm systems close in on the region this week, accompanied by up to 60 mph wind gusts, possible thunderstorms, landslides and flooding.

The metro has a 38% chance of an inch or more of rain from Thursday through Friday overnight, according to the weather service.
