Spirit Airlines is expanding with new nonstop flights from Chattanooga and Columbia to Fort Lauderdale, Newark, and Orlando, starting in June 2025.

The budget carrier will launch new nonstop flights connecting the Southeast with Florida and New York starting in early June 2025.

Spirit Airlines announced on March 5 that it will introduce new flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Columbia, South Carolina. The Dania Beach-based airline’s new routes, set to begin in June, mark an expansion for the airline as it works to emerge from bankruptcy.

CAE is currently served by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. Las Vegas-based Allegiant will open service from the South Carolina capital on May 15 with flights to Orlando Sanford Airport (SFB). From May 22, Allegiant will start flying between CAE and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Chaz Lanier scored 23 points to lead No. 4 Tennessee to a 75-65 victory over South Carolina on Saturday. The Volunteers (25-6, 12-6 Southeastern Conference) wrapped up a double bye for the SEC Tournament. Cade Phillips came off the bench to score 15 points, Igor Milicic had 13 and Jordan Gainey added 10 points.
