Jim Harbaugh’s offseason plans include undergoing two medical procedures. During his end-of-the-year news conference Wednesday after his Los Angeles Chargers lost in the AFC Wild Card round to the Houston Texans on Saturday, the 61-year-old head coach said he will have a cardiac ablation as well as hip replacement surgery “soon.”

Harbaugh’s antics can seem cliche and even corny at times, but every one of them has a meaning and makes an impact.

Jim Harbaugh said during his end-of-season remarks on Wednesday that he will “soon” have an ablation to treat an irregular heart rhythm as well as hip replacement surgery.

Harbaugh will have a cardiac ablation and a hip replacement this offseason, he said Wednesday after the Chargers were eliminated from the playoffs, via ESPN’s Kris Rhim. It's unknown when exactly he will have either procedure.
