When Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine surpassed 1,418 days last month, it officially exceeded a historic milestone — the same span of time it took Moscow to defeat Nazi Germany in World War II.

Sir Keir Starmer has promised to stand by the people of Ukraine for “as long as it takes” as he hit out at Vladimir Putin for blocking the path to peace.

Several European leaders, including Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, visited Kyiv on Tuesday to mark the anniversary.
