Police in the southwest Twin Cities metro are searching for a teen who escaped custody Sunday morning while being transported to the Carver County Juvenile Detention Center.
A teen boy who escaped authorities in Chaska on Sunday is still on the run, Blue Earth County authorities say.
According to the Chaska PD, the teen escaped near the Carver County Government Center on Sunday morning. Police say there's no imminent threat to the public.
According to the Chaska Police Department, he escaped from the custody of a Blue Earth County deputy around 8:24 a.m. near the Carver County Government Center.
Chaska police say a teen escaped law enforcement custody Sunday morning. Law enforcement were reportedly taking him to the Carver County Juvenile Detention Center when he escaped. Drones, K9 units and a Minnesota State Patrol plane were reportedly used to assist in the search.
Police in Chaska arrested a Pioneer Ridge Middle School student after he allegedly made threats of violence towards a group of students on social media Wednesday night. Authorities say they initially received the report Thursday morning, stating that the student made the threats involving a gun.
An immediate search, involving a large police presence, K-9 units and drones, of the immediate area was not successful.
