Gainesville, Fla. — It was only a short time ago that former Charlotte quarterback Deshawn Purdie withdrew his paperwork tying him to the Florida Gators and giving him his uncommitted status back. This decision by Purdie left a big void for the Gators, who are now back on the market looking for another quarterback.

Tennessee got off to a 14-0 start to the season, but the Vols first loss of the year was an ugly one. Florida pounded Tennessee 73-43 last Tuesday in Gainesville as UT scored its fewest points ever under head coach Rick Barnes.

"We're going to prioritize students," Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin said Wednesday as he responded to the student ticket controversy before Tuesday's game vs. Tennessee.
