The president has approved an emergency declaration for Tennessee amid the outbreak of tornadoes and severe storms that are sweeping through the state.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Gov. Bill Lee and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency are providing an update to the ongoing severe weather event impacting the Volunteer State to start April.
With flooding in the forecast and after a day of severe weather, these school districts have decided to close on April 4.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Officials confirm at least four people have died in severe storms that moved through the Volunteer State Wednesday night. The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) first confirmed one weather-related death in McNairy County, one in Obion County and another in Hardeman County.
More than 50 weather warnings were for tornadoes. Rain continues to cause flash flooding concerns around the state.
