Conservation Officer Corey Sura caught onto the group's activity Sunday afternoon, Nov. 7, while they were launching their boat into the river at Wheeler's Point Public Access near Baudette, Minn.

Garrett Larson, owner of Ronnings in International Falls, Baudette, Thief River Falls and Roseau, was named the 2023 Minnesota Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Retina R. LaValla, of Baudette, Minn., was charged Tuesday with two felony theft counts for allegedly taking money meant to help the families pay for the search and funerals.
