With the 2025 trade deadline just a few weeks away, one team to keep an eye on is the Vancouver Canucks. While GM Patrik Allvin has already made some significant moves, the Canucks are still involved in plenty of trade rumours ahead of the March 7 deadline.

Players with various attributes — toughness, exceptional work rate or locker room character — the Canucks could consider adding.

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, speaking on Monday's episode of the "32 Thoughts" podcast, clarified that while Dobson isn’t widely available, the Islanders have had “specific” trade talks that may have involved moving him under the right circumstances.

With the trade deadline just 23 days away and the Vancouver Canucks still on the lookout for help down the middle, a new name has entered the mix for Patrik Allvin to consider.
