The New York, Houston and Dallas metro areas have seen some of the fastest growth in population between 2023 and 2024.

Amtrak appears to be moving forward with its plans to build the high-speed railway and is seeking a "delivery partner" for the project, the company announced.

Formerly two separate cities, Dallas and Fort Worth have been joined by urban sprawl, now connected by 30 miles of suburbs (not to mention the Trinity Railway Express light rail system).
