Apple Plans Houston Plant to Produce AI Servers
Apple Inc. says it plans to produce servers at a new manufacturing plant in Texas. The company announced the project as part of more than $500 billion it says it will spend in the U.S. over the next four years on a wide swath of items ranging from data centers to Apple TV+ productions.
Apple's Houston server manufacturing plant would shift manufacturing from overseas. The plant was scheduled to open in 2026.
Alongside establishing the new Texas facility, Apple announced plans to hire approximately 20,000 employees nationwide.
