An employee of the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office has been arrested in Friday's dramatic escape of 10 inmates from the Orleans Justice Center, the Louisiana Attorney General's Office confirmed Tuesday.

A maintenance worker shut off water at the jail, allowing the inmates to remove a toilet and sink fixture from a cell wall, according to the Louisiana attorney general’s office. On Tuesday, a fifth escapee was arrested.

The 10 inmates broke out of the New Orleans jail at about 1 a.m. on May 16. Nearly a day later, three had been recaptured.
