Dallas-Fort Worth remained under a flood watch Thursday morning as storms continued to dump inches of rain on North Texas.

NORTH TEXAS — First Alert Weather Days are in effect for Wednesday and Thursday due to heavy rain and possible flooding. A Flood Watch will go into effect for parts of North Texas on Wednesday evening and continue through Thursday morning.

A flash flood warning is in effect for parts of North Texas, including Dallas, Collin, Rockwall and Johnson counties, until 8 a.m. Thursday.

Cases of flu are spiking across North Texas. On Monday, nearly 700 children were treated in the emergency department at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. On an average day, the emergency room sees 379 patients. The number of flu cases this year is set to surpass the past several years, the medical system said.
