Sky head coach Tyler Marsh says the team is trying to get some of Angel Reese's technical fouls rescinded to avoid fines
The Chicago Sky have one of the most popular players in the WNBA on their roster in the form of Angel Reese. She has already made a major impact throughout her first two years, but there are a lot of areas that she must improve in.
Angel Reese has put together another highly productive campaign during her second WNBA season, as she currently leads the Sky in total points, rebounds and assists. Her 12.5 rebounds per game are currently the best mark in the league.
Angel Reese entered the All-Star break playing the best basketball of her young career, but was unable to pick up where she left off in the Chicago Sky's first game back on Tuesday, a 91-68 loss to the league-leading Minnesota Lynx.
The Storm stayed ahead of Chicago throughout the game, taking a 39-26 halftime lead and never looking back. The team was led by Skylar Diggins, who had 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks. She also shot 7-of-14 overall, 3-of-6 from three-point range and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Angel Reese has embraced the point-forward label she gained entering her second season with the Chicago Sky, living up to coach Tyler Marsh’s vision.
The Chicago Sky returned from the All-Star break Tuesday night and suffered a blowout 91–68 loss to the league-best Minnesota Lynx, marking their fourth and final matchup against the Lynx this season.
